It's a Wrap

A little collection of some of my packaging materials.

I found, a few years ago, the sweetest little stamp of  little birds flying, carrying the post and thought is perfect for Sparrow Avenue's labeling on shipments.

I have a new rubber stamp of the Sparrow Avenue logo. The old one bit the dust after about 5 years.

The business card is printed on both sides: one side has all my information and the other, seen here, shows some of my images. This is particularly helpful at shows as it reminds people of what they have seen in my booth.

Everyone who purchases from Sparrow Avenue, receives a hand written Thank you note on special paper.

Everything is wrapped in re-cycled Kraft Wrap as part of my way of being as Eco-friendly as I can be.

The Case of the Bunny Mistake

Sparrow Avenue, Rabbit on Natural Linen
There's more to this Bunny than meets the eye. Actually, she is a different Bunny than I have shown so far. Nevertheless, she's the Bunny that made it to a screen; the others are on the cutting floor. But even with this one (which I did a number of times because there were little mistakes), I have found, still has mistakes. What are you going to do?

Teach an Old Dog

Sparrow Avenue
Looking back on old images, I've come across the drawing of the sparrow that became the logo for Sparrow Avenue. This drawing was originally done with a simple ball point pen, just scribbling around. Back in those days my son helped me with the lettering as I hadn't a clue how to do it. Boy, I've learned a lot since those days! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Owl Petite

Sparrow Avenue, Owl Petite Pouch
Playing around with photo shoots while I have my morning coffee. The hint in this picture being that these little pouches are great for having your coffee money readily available when you're getting your cup-a-Jo.

I see that I have run out of these particular ones in the shop. Will have to re-stock the shelves, so-to-speak.

Always Working

Bit of a dreary early Spring weekend with the weather not knowing what it wants to do. Roxy, here, is more or less mimicking the same.
This is the first time (or maybe second) that I have captured her actually looking at the camera. She hates her picture being taken.

Always working though no matter what and it was on the Natural Linen Tea Towels; trying to replenish stock, now that I'm entering that phase of the year. Most of the new images have been burned onto screens and I'm glad that part is done. Now I'll just be printing and sewing.

Composition

Sparrow Avenue, New Natural Linen Tea Towel
I haven't been able to think of a title for this new design for the Natural Linen tea towels but I really love how it turned out. There is another one coming with this new approach to to my images as a composition. More about that later...

Have a great weekend!

Sparrow Avenue, 2017 new screen images
Surely, you must have noticed how much more light there is at the beginning and end of the day. This is a great time to see all the new birds returning. Up the street is an old tree with lots of interesting holes in the branches: great shelters and hiding places for little guys. There is a Nuthatch that I see there quite regularly. Sweet little things: Nuthatches.

Anyway, this is one of my latest screens. I'm going for more of a "composition" look that can either be printed completely or individually. Can't wait til I do the rabbits...
